I voted early with my children. Also, here's a quick election guide that boils it down for us all- children and adults included in case you didn't catch this in your local paper.

Thanks! - I like the "mini page" guide. And early voting has been a major phenomenon this year. This article in the LA Times has some great information about the effect of early voting on the elections: http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-voting4-2008nov04,0,6994159.story

I went tonight. The beauty of living in the country is no lines....kids came and were so excited to get their "I voted" sticker as they finished their KID VOTE ballot.

We went in the afternoon. My husband and I went together and took our children. We waited in line, but only for about 45 minutes. I heard that the lines in the early morning were quite long, and I'm sure they were again in the early evening. We were blessed to have a playground next to our voting location (an historic home in a park); so the kids played on the equipment until we got to the front of the line. Our kids always go to vote with us. They also love to get their stickers. My husband was amazing as he explained every step of the process from why there were two lines (two precincts), to why we signed in, why we showed our id, etc. The kids loved it. We would never miss the opportunity to vote! So if you can, vote where there's a park :-)!
