Teaching Inauguration Day

Inauguration Day is coming up on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009. Always a momentous occasion, this year the interest is especially high.

If you're looking for ways to broach the subject with your kids, check out a few of the following links (thanks to the folks at Curriculum Matters and Edwize for pointing them out).

Let me know if any of them are helpful! Also, drop me a comment and tell the rest of us your 1 Smart Approach to introducing your children to Inauguration Day!

My kids are still young - 5 1/2, 4 and 1 so we'll be using The Mini Page that was in this week's newspaper. Here's a link to a .pdf version. We all have fun with it!

Leigh - your going to be on The Pioneer Woman's blog? That's HUGE. Does she do CC? Give some details. I guess only a blogger would appreciate the name. :)

Thanks for sharing, Just His Best - looks like a great page!

Jen - It is exciting! She was in CC last year; I'm not sure what tools she's using this year. I'm creating podcasts for her to use on her homeschooling page. I'll pass on more details as I find out.
